Find the Komarus
Find the Komarus is a puzzle where you find the cells hiding a Komaru (a round yellow character) on a board divided into color regions. Every Komaru can be found by reasoning step by step from the rules, never by guessing.

The rules of Find the Komarus
The Komarus hidden on the board always follow these 2 rules.
- Every row, every column, and every color region has exactly one Komaru.
- Komarus never touch each other, not even diagonally.
Tap a cell once to mark an X, your guess that no Komaru is there. Double-tap quickly to confirm a Komaru.
A wrong confirm costs one heart. You have 3 hearts; when they are all gone, the puzzle is over.
Two hints for when you are stuck
| Hint | What it does |
|---|---|
| Magnifier | Marks X on every cell in the same row, column, and color region as a found Komaru, and on the cells around it. Use it as often as you like (+5 s each). |
| Bulb | Teaches the next step in 3 stages: first where to look, then why, and finally the answer. The board shows cells with colored frames: a blue frame is where to look now, a blue dotted frame is where you looked before, a red frame means a Komaru is here, and a black frame means no Komaru (mark it X). When a hint asks “what if a Komaru were here?”, it places trial circles and trial X’s to show you. Marks from earlier steps stay until the answer. The hint never just fills in the answer. |
Using a hint or making a wrong confirm adds seconds to your time. Learning the idea from a hint adds fewer seconds than a wrong confirm.
Stages and personal bests
The puzzles are lined up from Stage 1. They start on small boards; as you go on, the boards get bigger and some puzzles need harder ways of thinking.
The stage list shows your personal best time and the number of tries for each stage. There are no rankings against other people. The one to beat is your past self.
