Terraschole (terraschole.com) / Last updated October 24, 2026

Terraschole does not ask you to enter information that can identify a specific individual (personal information), such as your name or email address. The only information you enter for a Terraschole account is a nickname.

1. Information We Collect and How We Use It

The information Terraschole collects, and the information stored on your device, falls into the three categories below. Details of the information each app collects are given on that app’s About page.

(1) Terraschole Account Information

A Terraschole account is a single account shared by the Terraschole apps you can log in to (currently Find the Komarus and Number Place Terakoya). The login screen is id.terraschole.com. Logging in is optional; you can use the apps without logging in. If you log in, you can continue on another device with the same records.

InformationWhen we collect itPurpose
An identifier for users who are not logged in (a random string) The first time you use an app To identify that records belong to the same user. While you are not logged in, it is not linked to a Terraschole account
Nickname When you create a passkey (required) To display it on screen
Passkey public key When you create a passkey To verify that it is you
The dates and times the account was created and last used (including those of each passkey) When the account is created, and each time you use an app To identify accounts that have not been used for a long time, and to check whether an account was in use when we receive an inquiry

For your nickname, we recommend a screen name rather than your full real name.

A passkey is a way to log in using the same method you use to unlock your device (fingerprint, face, PIN, and so on). Fingerprint and face data are not sent outside your device, and Terraschole does not collect them.

If you lose your passkey, your Terraschole account and its records cannot be recovered.

IP addresses and device types are not stored in Terraschole’s databases.

(2) App Usage Records

Some apps send results (such as the stage number, the time taken, the number of hints used, and the date and time) to the server, for example when you finish a stage. They may send them even if you are not logged in. The purposes are to show your personal bests, to let you continue on another device, and to review the difficulty of the puzzles.

(3) Information Stored on Your Device

The apps store your progress, personal bests, settings, and similar information on your device.

2. External Services

When storing personal information, Terraschole uses a cloud service provided by a company in the United States.

Terraschole account information and app records are also stored in this cloud service.

Terraschole also uses a web analytics service on the web versions of its pages opened in a browser. The information this service collects is the number of page views and how fast pages load. It does not use cookies or browser storage, and it does not identify users by IP address or similar information.

3. Cookies

Terraschole uses cookies (small pieces of data that a browser stores for each site) to keep you logged in and to identify users who are not logged in. Cookies expire after at most 400 days, which is the longest you can stay logged in.

4. Retention and Deletion

Information stored on the server remains stored until you delete it. You can delete your records and your account yourself on screen.

WhereWhat is deletedWhat is not deleted

5. Use by Children

Terraschole apps can be used without logging in. When a child uses them, the information collected is the same as described in “1. Information We Collect and How We Use It.”

6. Operator and Contact

Operator: Terraschole, run by Hidetake Ishimaru (石丸偉丈)

Terraschole accepts inquiries about this page and about the handling of personal information through a contact form.

(The contact form is being prepared.)

7. Changes to This Policy

When Terraschole changes the information it collects or the external services it uses, it will revise this page and change the “Last updated” date above.
